South Africans had unpleasant surprise yesterday keen to know what budget has to say about different sectors and what measures in place to secure sufficient funds. On the 11th hour when people are watching TV and listening to radio no speech was delivered.

It would be the first time Enoch Godongwana delivering budget speech since GNU. Apparently partners in their marriage didn't see eye to eye as it is alleged that Enoch had plan of raising VAT by 2%. Democratic Alliance refused saying that plan is going to supress the vulnerable even further as their basic needs will be more expensive.

The leader of EFF Julius Malema says "postponement of budget speech has rendered government useless, the budget was supposed to be brought forward so that we can debate it and ultimately adopt it. The GNU of ANC and DA collapsed in front of South Africans. In terms of increase of 2% we don't agree in Zuma's Era he increase VAT with 1% and now they want to make it 17%, The best strategy is to increase corporate tax and create wealth tax.

The budget speech is going resume on the 12 March 2025. Unfortunately other institutions has exhausted their last year budget which might have bad service as they wouldn't be able to buy necessities to render their services.
