Currently Sandf members who have died are 13 and they are no means of ensuring they come to South Africa to be buried . Sandf says they don't have a power to instruct the deployment solders to come or not but the state has.

In the video that makes rounds of one of the peacemakers they say the main purpose of many of them being happy to be deployed in such events is that they are getting payed in dollars. They further explained that currently they are out of ammunition which is what makes them more vulnerable.

People on the ground are impatiently waiting for the address of the minister of defence to hear whether they will be supplied with resources or they come back home.
