Minister in precidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni says Democratic Alliance opposition to Budget speech is just a way of fabrication the main point they are concerned about it is expropriation of land without compansation act, NHI and Bela bill that they want them to be refrained.

Ntshavheni further said Steenhuisen cannot hold VAT adjustment ransom and "it’s a pity that they’ve got the megaphones and the scribes who can make their voices very loud,” she said. DA is amongst polotical parties that are within government of national unity(GNU) and other GNU members agreed to support the tabled budget even though others had their conditions at hand.

Steenhuisen few minutes before minister of Finance tabled his budget he took to his X account saying they're not supporting the budget. It is alleged that all the parties within the GNU had the privilege of seeing the budget prior to it being heard by the public.

The big question that South Africans on the ground are asking themselves if it happenes that ANC doesn't have sufficient votes in order for the VAT to be approved. Ntshavheni said a clause in the Public Finance Management Act allowed funds to be drawn temporarily under the provisions of the previous Budget.
