Who would've thought that Democratic Alliance and Economic freedom fighters would see eye for an eye. Vat increase propelled both parties to swallow their pride and put their differences aside. They are working coherently trying to dispute the tabled fiscal framework. The parties through their leaders Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi for EFF and Advocate Michael Bishop for the DA tabled their concerns on the 22 April 2024 at Western high Court. 

Tembeka says the VAT increase will countinue to suppress the vulnerable and reduce the buying power as result the economy will be affected negatively. Michael Bishop says the increase will affect small business whom  reduces unemployment in way and the increase will lead to job losses because smmes wouldn't keep up. 

The joint case results will be brought forward by western cape high Court  on the  29 April 2024 just a day before the actual implementation of what will be the outcome 1 May 2024. DA being part of the GNU still trigger their partners in marriage by working against them.
